This term our topic is Fantastic Fairy Tales and Marvellous Maps! We will be looking at traditional fairy tales and some more modern versions of those lovely tales. We will also be learning about maps, both real and imagined. In Science, we will be investigating animal life-cycles and plants and in History, we look forward to finding out all about Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Our visit to the SS Great Britain will be a great way to launch our learning.

The Great Fire of London!
Oak Class had a visit from Jethro, a servant to Samuel Pepys. He told us what life was like in London in 1666 and all about the Great Fire. We learnt so many fascinating facts and some rather revolting ones too!
As part of our Aspirations Week we have been reading ‘The Most Magnificent Thing’, which tells the inspiring story of a little girl who sets out to create the most magnificent thing. Through her journey of trial and error, she learns valuable lessons about perseverance, creativity, and the power of not giving up. We used this story as a foundation to explore important themes such as problem-solving, resilience, and embracing mistakes as opportunities to learn. We had great fun creating our own Most Magnificent Puppets.
